DESCRIPTION:LBCS PTC is excited to promote a school wide read-in and book exchange in conjunction with READ ACROSS AMERICA WEEK! We are hoping to encourage literacy and community by having all of our students in K-8 participate. Here are the details! \nWHO: All LBCS Students K-8! \nWHAT: Book exchange and Read-In \nWHEN: Book collection will run from Feb 24-March 3. The read-in will take place on March 4. \nWHERE: LBCS campus and Franklin Gym \nWHY: To promote literacy\, share books and enjoy reading together! \nHOW: Students are encouraged to bring in gently used books from home that they have read and are no longer using. On March 4\, each classroom will visit the gym for 30 mins to pick some new books and spend some time reading. If inventory allows\, students may go home with the same amount of books they donated. But every child will get to pick at least ONE new book to take home. Any remaining books will be donated to classroom libraries or places in need of books! If you know of an organization in need of books\, please let us know! \nWe are hoping to fill the gym with LOTS and LOTS of books to share with each other!  \nIf you would like to volunteer to help with the read-in on March 4 please SIGN UP HERE!  \nThanks for your support and participation! \nLBCS PTC
